I'm going to talk about movies a little bit.
My father took me to see my first film in a theater when I was 4 years old, it was my neighborhood theater.
It was the original King Kong from 1933.
That theater was four blocks away from my house.
It was called the Vista in Los Angeles.
Once part of D.W. Griffith Studios, it lived many lives, a silent film house, a grind house, even an adult theater before coming when I was, when I was growing up, a revival cinema.
Like many theaters in America, it nearly closed a few years ago.
