When I lived in Italy, in a way, life was simpler in that if someone fancied you, you knew.
You had eye contact, there were loads of compliments, a man would literally shout bellissima across the street at you.
It left no room for doubt.
But I come from the UK, where flirting can sound something like, you're not completely terrible are you?
