节目文稿全记录

Hi everyone and welcome back to Happy Hour. In this episode. We are going to be looking at Quick Fire Questions(快问快答). So in the last episode, Lulu. Hi Lulu.

Hi, 安澜.

...asked me lots of question.

Is this when you take your revenge?

Exactly. So in the last episode, Lulu asked me some really strange questions. Now it's my turn to ask her some even stranger questions.

Ok.

Lulu, are you ready?

Yeah, I mean, I'm as strange as I can be. So shoot, I will use one sentence to elaborate.

Window seat or aisle seat?

Aisle seat now. I used to prefer window seat but now I feel like I have more leg room, I know,I know, I'm short but I still need the leg room.

Ok. Not quite sure why you need the leg room but there we go. Your favorite city in the world?

Kyoto! Well, outside of China, Kyoto.

Ok.

I just, I really love this sort of ancient vibe. I like a slow city I don't like...like London, New York, Tokyo this type of hustle and bustle.

What was the last APP you downloaded?

The last APP? Ok, this is gonna sound like quite boring. It's just like a localized delivery, grocery delivery APP used in Wuhan.

Sexy.

I know.

Ok, what's your phone wallpaper? Is it a picture of me?

No, oh gross. No,no. It's actually a picture of a random cat, cartoon cat, meowing.

Ok. So not even your own cat, just a random cat.

It's a cartoon cat. It looks very happy. So I just kept it.

Ok. The next question, are you good at replying to text promptly? No, you're not.

No.

So next question.

No, nowadays I don't even reply to text messages. I'm so sorry if you guys got my wechat and you send me messages and I didn't reply, it's not because I'm rude, it's because I’m kind of, I don't know, I don't know if there's a word for it. I dread replying to text messages. I literally dread it. Yeah.

Make your bed every day or never?

Never. I'm sorry, I'm a really, really messy person. Yeah, that I don't make my bed. No.

What's your most used kitchen gadget?

Right now, it's like a hand pulled, a food processing thingy. It's got blades in it. I just find it to be more useful than sort of, than the electric one, because I just... I can also exercise.

Ok, let's go on to romance.

Ok.

Is it harder to say sorry or I love you?

Harder to say sorry. I'm someone who is gonna stand her ground, even though she knows perfectly fine that she's wrong. I'm very stubborn.

Yeah. You are. What's your love language?

What does that even mean? What's your love language?

So how do you describe, how do you show someone that you love.

Oh, ok. Sexy clothes.

Okay, you wearing them or the other person?

No, no. Me wearing them. See it as a sexy reward.

Ok, good to know.

Mhm.

What historical period would you survive the worst in.

Any period where they prefer women to be very thin and very quiet.

Ok.

So I think i'll probably do better in Tang dynasty.

Yeah, I could see that. What's the question you wish people asked you more often?

Huh. Do you need more money? No

no, I'm joking. I actually prefer when people ask me about very specific things that I happen to be interested in. For example, oh, what’s the... is there any good horror film that you watch lately? Things like that, so that we can bond over shared interest.

What is your favorite household smell?

That is a weird question.

Not that weird!

Ok, it's a type of hand soap, it's very cheap but it just makes me feel clean and wholesome.

Ok. Hostel or luxury hotel?

Sorry?

Hostel or luxury hotel?

Luxury hotel, always.

What is a travel must-have in your bag?

You mean apart from phone?

Yeah, cause I know you Lulu, you never put your phone in your bag.

Ok, I will travel with a notebook, so in case I need to write something down, I would prefer..Oh and also a puzzle book, puzzle book.

What is your biggest irrational fear?

My biggest irrational fear would be bugs, like hordes of them coming out of corners of a room that I'm staying in. And just like, you know, climbing all over me.Yeah, I have a fear of bugs.

What's something everyone should try at least once?

Ok, this is gonna sound really holier than thou, but chasing, like pursuing something you're truly interested in.

You are right. That does sound a bit holier than thou.

Yeah but, you know people say, oh stay practical and all that. But if you can really pursue things you truly love, you really get a lot more pleasure and in life and life just seems more worth living, really.

Who was your first celebrity crush?

My first celebrity crush...I really don't get a lot of celebrity crushes but I did like and I still do like Jeremy Irons.

Good choice, good choice.

He's very old now but I probably liked him the best when he was in his maybe late 40s.Yeah, that's like his golden age.

Where is your happy place?

My happy place is being very dry, quite warm, bare feet sitting like step, you know, sitting on like some sort of couch or sofa and put my feet up and reading a good book or watching a really good horror film, that's my happy place.

What does your perfect lazy day look like?

Perfect lazy day? You know probably do a thorough cleaning because I'm really messy. So occasional cleaning gives me, or makes me feel it's kind of cathartic and therapeutic and afterwards I will sit there again watching horror films while knitting, that's a perfect lazy day.

You really are an old person inside, aren't you? And that's coming from me.

Yeah, but I like horror films, old people don't like horror films.

Ok.Do you talk to your plants or pets?

Pets! I cannot keep any plant alive for longer than three days.

And my last question for you.

OK.

Finish this sentence, people would be happier if they…

Drink more? No no no, people would be happier if they realize...Ok, this is gonna sound sad. People are gonna be happier if they don't hang on or if they don't hold on to false hope. If they realize nobody's coming.

Well, that's surprising.

Depressing.

Depressing. Yeah.

Why is it surprising to you? You know what kind of person I am. I'm a pessimist at heart.

Well, that's true. I'm speaking on behalf of our listeners. I'm speaking on behalf of all these happy people who are listening to this right now.

Yeah, but if you think about it, it's not really that dark or depressive because if you realize nobody, there's no one you can truly rely on, then you can start relying on yourself. It's all self care and self love and all that.

No I can get that. I get that

Ok, I thought there will be more weird questions, but that's really fair. Again, if you guys want to ask me any questions, leave those questions in the comments. I'll see if we can do another episode. Thank you 安澜for asking me all these questions, allowing me to be just a tiny bit more narcissistic than I already am.

Well, exactly. You know kind of the fact that the show is called Lulu's Happy Hour. You know, wasn't really enough was it?

Yeah. Now I don't call it Lulu’s Happy Hour, just say Happy Hour. It's yours as well.

Oh. Thank you.

Okay, so hopefully after these two episodes, you guys get to know us a little bit more as people, not just as…

Voices.

Bodiless voices.

Voices in your head.

Voices in your head indeed. So leave us a comment in the comment section, put in your request for what you want to hear in this podcast. And we'll see you next time.

So until then. Bye.

Bye.
