We need to talk about native English speakers.
Americans, Brits, Canadians, Australians, and there are many more.
Unfortunately, native English speakers don't make it easy to understand them.
If you're learning English, if you're a student of English who speaks English as a 2nd or 3rd language, you probably know exactly what I'm talking about.
Native English speakers speak fast.
They don't speak in the way you learnt in the textbook.
They speak quickly.
They combine words, they sound almost messy when they speak.
Listening to the English you learned at school, versus the English you'll hear in a Hollywood movie, can be so frustrating because they sound so different.
You can understand the textbook English, but you can't understand the real world everyday English that native speakers actually use.
