They're not like any other animal.

So you'll see one of our koalas here, and the way that they're treated differently is because they're so special, they're really, really delicate, that they actually get to sit in the cabin of the airplane.

So they get allocated a seat and everything, so you get full VIP treatment.

The pandas may not have their own seats, but there's no question of their VIP status.

They're going to be FedExed in their very own panda plane.

Transporting such precious cargo is a complex business.

It will require a specially chartered Boeing 777 to jet them off to their distant destination, far away from home.

The panda's natural habitat is the wild bamboo mountains of central China.

They once thrived here, but now, there are only around 1,600 left.
